Services

As seen on NBC 7/39 and HGTV, Green Box Homes is San Diego's Green Realtor. We can do a completely paperless transaction for any client; we recycle constantly and buy only recycled office papers and products when we can. Your finished transaction is delivered on a CD to file away. And each home represented gets a customized manual on going green. Selling real estate in San Diego is her first priority, greening is second. Kimberly was named a top broker in San Diego in San Diego Magazine for 2008, 2009 and 2010. Only 7% of San Diego agents were nominated by their clients. This is a huge honor. We sell San Diego homes every day of the year.

Green Practices

People assume we only sell green houses. That is the furthest thing from the truth. San Diego doesn’t have any green houses for sale! The few truly green certified residences were built by architects and developers to be used as their personal residences. Although there is some branching out into green additions being added to new construction, mostly we sell what is currently built. We green your home to make it more attractive for sale. Our green services vary from listing to listing but are always free. In addition, we run a very green company from the paper and ink we buy, to the vendors we use to recycling to reduced printing to our free giveaways.

Community First

We don’t think it’s enough to work with our clients buying and selling real estate. To keep us balanced and better at our careers, we strongly believe in venturing out into the world of serving the community. Green Box Homes is very philanthropic and supports charities with money and time. Some of our favorite causes are the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Meals on Wheels, the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Friends of Cats, and Torre Argentina Cat Sanctuary in Rome, Italy. There are others but suffice it to say that if we’re not working, we are giving. We also volunteer with the San Diego Association of Realtors and support the charitable causes organized by SDAR. In addition, Kimberly is an advisory board member for the San Diego chapter of Meals on Wheels. Kerry is a marathon coach for the Team in Training division of the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

Free Home Staging

Staged clean homes sell faster! Most brokers have heard of staging and can tell you that you should stage your home. We take it many steps further. First, we stage your home for you for free. If your home is vacant, we purchase furniture for it and complete the staging from our warehouse of staging materials. Second, we’ve been offering free staging since 2003 and along the way have accumulated a gorgeous collection of home décor materials. If your home is furnished and you live there, we do the staging work using your own things. Typically it takes a weekend to stage a vacant house and four hours to stage a home you live in. Photography is always taken after staging.

Paperless Process

Your transaction with us whether you are buying or selling will be relatively paperless. If you have a computer and email capability, 95% of the paperwork involved in a real estate sale can be “click signed” with your mouse using our preferred electronic signature vendor, Docusign. This service costs our clients zero and they are not required to open any accounts. Just open an email with various contracts and disclosures attached in PDF format, then click where the yellow tabs take you. Your electronic signature is added. It’s rather magical. Your listing agreement is typically signed in person, so that will be paper. Escrow companies require that certain documents be “ink” signed, but otherwise most of the real estate items that used to fill a big box can be reduced to digital files. At close of escrow, a CD from Green Box Homes with your entire transaction on it will be mailed to you. Upon close of escrow, you will also receive a paper “closing packet” from your escrow officer and important tax documents are with that. Escrow has for the most part not moved to the digital world. Oh well! Whatever is sent to you from escrow is very important so please keep it.
